NU hosted the International Intel Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2010) – Egypt on March 19-21, 2010, at Mubarak City. ISEF 2010 is a science fair competition, where high school students from all provinces of Egypt present their research project in either sciences or humanitarian fields. One hundred projects were demonstrated at the ISEF 2010. Dr. Mahmoud Allam, NU’s Assistant Provost for Academics, was on the board of the panel of judges who reviewed the projects and selected the winners: Sara El Shaarawy, Yousr El Shaarawy, Abdallah El Menoufy, and Ahmed Samir.

NU offered the winners a full scholarship for their undergraduate studies. Moreover, the winners will represent Egypt in the international competition taking place in May in the USA.

The Fair was organized by the Arab Science & Technology Foundation (ASTF), and was sponsored by Intel Corporation, USA.
