NU hosted the 9th International Workshop on Multiple Classifier Systems (MCS 2010) on April 7-9, 2010, at the Smart Village Club conference facility. The MCS 2010 focused on the application of multiple classifier systems in data mining, medical imaging and bioinformatics. The Workshop aimed at bringing together researchers from diverse communities concerned with this topic, including neural network, pattern recognition, machine learning and statistics. The MCS 2010 was organized by Nile University, University of Surrey (UK), and Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering University of Cagliari (Italy), and endorsed by The International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR), and sponsored by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), Microsoft Innovation Laboratory in Cairo (CMIC), and finally co-sponsored by PASCAL. Sixty-five scientists from several institutions around the globe participated in the workshop.
